NEW CHURCH MINISTRIES CORE VALUES
1. Relationship Evangelism
We believe that lost people matter to God, so they matter to us. We see the unchurched as those who are disassociated or disenfranchised from the Body of Christ, His church. (Luke 5:30-32; Luke 15; Matthew 18:14)
2. Relevant Ministries
We believe that the body of Christ should be culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure. We will seek to represent Christ in an authentic way to those God has placed in our lives without compromising Biblical accuracy.
(1 Corinthians 9:19-23)
3. Authenticity
We believe Christ’s followers should be authentic with God and with one another, pursuing continuous Spiritual growth. (Hebrews 12:1; Ephesians 4:25-26,32; Philippians 1:6)
4. Spiritual Gifts
We believe that the body should operate as a unified community of servants. This is only possible if both men and women use their God given gifts and talents. We seek to equip all our partners to serve effectively out of their giftedness to the benefit of the body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12 & 14; Romans 12; Ephesians 4; Psalms 135:1; 2 Corinthians 6:1)
5. Servanthood
With Christ as our leader and example, wee strive to conduct ourselves as He would: putting others ahead of ourselves. (Philippians 2:4-21; Matthew 20:26-28)
6. Excellence
We believe that excellence honors God and inspires others. Since God gave His best, Jesus Christ, we seek to honor him by aspiring to the highest of standards in our ministries and practices. (Colossians 3:17, 23; Malachi 1:6-14; Proverbs 27:17)
7. Life Groups
We believe God has uniquely put us together to meet people at the point of their felt needs. We are committed to fulfilling the call to be Christ in a real way by sharing life and doing faith with others. (John 4:7-26; John 1:14)
8. Prayer
We believe that prayer is the foundation of New Church Ministries. We rely on private and community prayer in all phases of our ministry and activities as a church. (Matthew 7:7-11)
9. Ministering Together
We believe God has uniquely put us together to meet people at the point of their felt needs. We are committed to fulfilling the call to be Christ in a real and tangible way to our current community and world. (John 4:7-26; John 1:14)
10. Church Planting
We believe in the New Testament model of birthing churches. The church is a living organism that reproduces itself. WE are committed to starting new ministries where God opens the door to further His kingdom. (Acts 11:22-26; Acts 14:19-28; Acts 15:30-35)
