Great service today!  Looked at Attitudes (mmm...mmmmm...mmmmm) and how they affect our lives and what kind of Attitude God would have us reflect.  Listen to the message if you missed it...it should be posted early in the week.

Some prayer request to keep in mind:

Larry Voiles-Pneumonia

Kenny Weaver-Recovery from accident

Heather Barajas-Needs a kidney

Phyllis-(Cari's Aunt)- breast cancer

Chris-back/neck pain

Some great praises this morning--Dick's Son and family gave their lives to Jesus last week!  We have been praying his Son's fight with some addiction issues for a couple of months.

Reminder---***Spaghetti Lunch*****--after church next week the youth will be putting on a benefit lunch to help fund their activities.  Plan on sticking around and enjoying some great food and fellowship.  Donations are welcomed.

Well, I have been home for an entire week after my first round of treatments.  I have had a couple of rough days and some adjustments to my eating habits, scheduling, and sleep schedule as the drugs I am taking work their "magic" on my body.

Thanks sooooo much for the prayer, cards, food, and all the support you have extended to us in our time of testing.

God has truly answered our prayers as the side affects of the treatments have been kept minimal and we have had safe travel for Atlanta to Zion and back.

There is a long road to travel, but every journey begins with a plan, then preparations (prayer, alone time with God, study, and listening to the DR.), and then the road itself is not conquered by jumping to the finish line...it is a plodding course that must be taken in steps, section, and miles till the journey is done.

Thanks for journeying with us!

Over the next few weeks we will  be discussing what it means to "Partner" with a church.

As with any association, it is vitally important that you understand whom and or what you are joining.  At New Church Ministries we believe in keeping things simple on purpose, but we still have core values that we believe God has given to us to help us fulfil His mission and help promote unity and growth within this local body.

During the Month of May we will be Honouring special people in our lives.  Mothers Day and Memorial Day are big weekends, but we will also be recognising our Missions and Missionaries as well as recognising the role our children and youth workers play in our church and it's future.

I am sorry for not updating the sight lately.  With my treatments and my technical mess ups (like forgetting to check "post" updates have been slow and messed up.

We have a spaghetti dinner after church on April 25 to benefit the Youth.

Bible Study at Jan Turner's home on Tuesday evenings covering a basic look at "Worldviews" and is a short 4 week study...join in at any time.

Prayer updates:

--The weaver family as Kenny is still going through many surgeries, but seems to be doing well.  Also, Larry Voiles (Jill's dad) is fighty pneumonia and is at Memorial as well.

--We have had a couple of deaths in extended families and comfort is always needed.

--Continued healing and restoration for those who have had medical procedures done and for those fighting allergies.

Again, I apologise for not getting things up a little more quickly.

Hope to see you at church!
